Can ANYBODY assit me with information on how to get a Premium account from Wordpress.com? I couldn't find a customer service number or anything!

My questions are:

1. How much is the Premium account?

2. How do you create an Administrative Level user account within your existing account for your web designer to navigate?

3. How do you forward your domain to Wordpress, if the domain name was purchased from another site?

4. In the section, Legal Flotam, do I click on "blog"? Or the "just username? if I'm trying to have a web page set up.

*Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Here is the contact form to contact customer support: http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

There is no set price for a Premium account. Wordpress offers Premium features, which can be purchased individually once you've got a free blog. You do this via Upgrades in your Dashboard.

2. How do you create an Administrative Level user account within your existing account for your web designer to navigate?
Once you have a blog, you go into your Dashboard, go the Users section and invite someone to join the blog. You can then set them up as an admin, an editor, or whatever. You'll need a valid email address of theirs to do this.

3. How do you forward your domain to Wordpress, if the domain name was purchased from another site?
Here's a couple links you might find helpful: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/

You change the domain name over once you've got a blog. You do this under the Domains section of your Dashboard. If your domain name is being hosted by someone other than yourself, you'll need to give them the instructions about what to change on the DNS. However, be careful, because the DNS changes may affect all the sites hosted by that server.

4. In the section, Legal Flotam, do I click on "blog"? Or the "just username? if I'm trying to have a web page set up.

When you're signing up you need to click on blog, so you can get yourself a free blog. Then you go on to the page where you can choose a blog name. Otherwise you just get a username and nothing else (though you can easily register a blog later).

That's how to do it. However, if you want to set up a webpage and manage it yourself completely, you might want to check out http://wordpress.org/, which provides a downloadable package. This allows you to host it yourself or for it to be hosted by whoever is currently hosting your domain name.

Contacting wordpress directly and asking which is the best option for you might be a good idea. The link i provided at the top of the page has a contact form. I've found them to be helpful and efficient on the occasions i've contacted them.

Start with a free account first, before spending money.

What's the purpose of your blog? Does a blog or Website make enough sense for you personally NOW to spend money on it?

Do you mean a VIP account? I'm pretty sure that those are by invitation only. You have to be getting millions of hits a day and the cost is prohibitive unless you are running the blog as a serious business (I think it's $500/month, but I could be wrong on that).

He needs to pay so he can use his own domain name. The domain mapping is $9.95. Even with the custom CSS editing added, it's economically decent. And no host-hunting, plus stability. I get to do some of the fun stuff behind the scenes.
