I did a short (8 min) film today just for fun on binding screenplays. Hope some of you find it useful.

Enjoy.

An 8 minute film on how to put a couple of Acco#5 brads through the holes ?

I suspect this is the screenwriting equivalent of Douglas Adam's instructions for using a toothpick !

I did say it was for fun. :D A SERIOUS documentary on putting a couple Acco #5 brads through holes - properly considering all ramifications - could perhaps be done in two minutes or less but what's the joy in THAT, eh?

Besides, I like Douglas Adams.

Excellent sound, Ralph. Would have liked more conflict throughout, and more camera angles.

And I think you should have spilled the coffee on the bound script at the end.:)

Nowadays, most scripts are submitted via a pdf file.
That'll be the sequel .. an 8 minute film on creating a PDF.

BTW - getting back on topic, the 'how-to' films I find most useful are John August's scriptcasts .. where he simply has a script open on his PC, and he improves it, talking through the changes as he does it.

They are simple and effective - so simple I'm surprised they haven't been used a lot more as a teaching tool:

eg:

Click on the 'scriptcasts' link on that page to get more.
