I may just be looking for hidden meanings when there are none, but I'll pose this question anyway!
I have a handful of agents that are even now reading the full manuscript for my current novel. After sending them all out, I hooked up with a Beta that has only helped me improve flow of the writing and strengthen the plot.
So, after agonizing over whether to send the revised novel, I emailed each of the agents to explain the revisions and ask if they would prefer to read the new (and much improved) manuscript or if they just wanted to read what they had. Most of the responses I received were quiet nice but said, no, that they'd read the version they had.
Yesterday, I received an email from one of the agents saying that she had already read the original version but if I had another one, to send it so that she could make "the most informed decision".
Should I take this as a good sign? If yes, should I just cross the other agents that said they didn't need to see the revised version off my list?
Or am I just over thinking all this?
