I need a mild and common Spanish expletive such as for "Damn it" or "Crap"

Does anyone know one?

Yeah, i though about that one, but this is from a big-time drug dealer finding out he's lost some dope. I wanted something a little harsher.

Something like Muerte, maybe?

No muerte just simply means dead.

Now, I'm no expert on MILD Spanish expletives, but puta is whore. I'm trying to think of some others. Maricon is the extremely derogatory term for homosexual, erm....

Gimme a minute...I grew up in Texas, but I'm blanking here.

Muerte means death as far as I know. Don't know how often that's used as an expletive. The sentence I want is something like:

"Damn it, I knew they'd lose my stuff."

I want a Spanish expletive instead of 'damn it'

According to the file I posted, dammit is "Maldito sea." Any lurking Latinos want to proof that?

"Mierda" means shit. "Hijo de puta" is another phrase for S.O.B. (Using it to mean "Damn" of course) That's about all I can think of off the top of my head for the words you mean.

I think mierda is right for the context, and the non-spanish speaking reader will understand that it is an expletive.

Thanks everyone.

I meant Muerte as in "I'm gonna klll someone" but I forgot the expletive part of the question, sorry.

I have seen it used, and this kind of situation is where it seems right.

I would have an awkard time with that.. "I'm gonna kill someone would be "Voy a matar a alguien".

I'd say "Carajo!" ("crap!", "damn!")

Please note that these depend on region. A spaniard and a mexican speak way, way, waaaaaay different from each other.

Puñeta might fit your needs, although alternate uses for this word are sexual ones.
