Hello everyone. I'm just taking my first steps into the writing world and thought it would be a good idea to join your friendly, informative forum.
Like a lot of others here, I just completed NaNoWriMo and rediscovered my childhood love of writing fiction. Now I plan to keep that up for myself but I also want to write non-fiction and see if I can build up some experience there with a view to maybe, eventually, earning something from it.
Suite101 just accepted me so I'm hoping that will be good experience for a beginner. I also applied, recklessly perhaps, to write for WiseGEEK and Words of Worth but have heard nothing from them so far. It's all very exciting and I've learned a lot already from these boards, so thankyou.
I do go on ... so I'll stop here!
