Hello all. I'm Kyrie. I'm 19, and have been writing novels since the seventh grade (although most of them have been stuffed in my closet as things that will Never Again See the Light of Day). I write mostly fantasy and historical fiction. And I'm hoping to get my foot in the door of the world of publishing. :snoopy:

Hi there, Kyrie! Never say those old stories are not going to see the light again! I did just the same, stuffing away those old ones, but recently I've been digging into them and got the core of at least two more novels! Btw, I'm also into historical fiction.

Welcome to the Cooler.

I've pulled material from the back of the cupboard and discovered that some of the interesting phrasing I used doesn't stink as bad as I thought. The artwork from my teens if horrific, but the words are okay... More or less. Don't be so sure that you'll never want to polish the older stories.

Kyrie- welcome! Remember, when a student begins to learn an instrument, they practise a lot of scales... it was all valid learning. And kids can have a wild insight that we sometimes lose as we get older. So maybe wait a few more years and then drag those puppies out. Better yet, scan them and email the pdf to yourself! [In case of flood or fire!] Use a free email server like gmail.

PS- have you read the Emily of New Moon series? {NOT the tv show}

Haha, okay, I won't completely dismiss them. I have thought about going through and redeeming some of them, but usually I'm so caught up by current ideas and stories I just don't have time to.
