I feel lesser for asking this, but i'm sure some of the grammer experts here will know the answer to my daughters homework question.

The word is 'phrase" and its a noun. I have to change it to another noun while adding 5 letters.

phrase _ _ _ _ _.

I'm doing a brain melt and can't come up with the answer. I'm sure when I see it i'll be suitably embarrassed.

Any ideas?

The dictionary also lists phrasemaker and phraseogram. But, um, that's a really hard question! What kind of genius child homework is she doing?

There is also "phrasebooks". OneLook dictionary is a site that you might find useful for this sort of question. You can search for words that you only know some of the letters of, among other things. I put in "phrase" followed by 5 unknown letters to get this result.

Do you have to add the letters to the end? Because the first thing I thought of was "catchphrase."
