pdfscreenplays.com?

Does anyone know what happened to this site?

I went to log on after a lengthy absence and alas, they have close the forum down? Or have they just made it for the "elites"?

I think the same people run mypdfscripts.com now as well?

Either way, where do people get their scripts from these days?

Cheers

Are you talking about scripts to read? If so there are stickies at the top of this section of the forum.

Mainly scripts to read. Pdfscreenplays was the place to go to find scripts, but it was starting to get a little totalitarian.

I got an email from the poor guy who ran the site.

It sounded painful.

Person A would get a copy of a hot script that was being passed.
They would post it on the forums.
But then the person who gave them the copy (Person B) would complain that Person A gets the credit for making it available - not Person B.

Or Person B would argue that their collection of rare scripts is now worth less because the scripts are no longer rare, and demand that the scripts be taken down. Even though they didn't own them or even submit them in the first place.

If you want to read scripts you can go visit Simply scripts, Script O Rama
Of course you have to become a member and you can read the scripts for free.

Yea, I've got good resources for obtaining scripts but there was no doubt about it that pdfscreenplays was definitely the best resource to find rare/earlier drafts/scanned scripts.

I don't understand what the big deal is about sharing. But I guess people always want some sort of recognition, even when they don't deserve it.
