I sent them a query for my edgy YA but haven't heard back yet. Does anyone know the timeline for this agency? Are they one of those "if you don't hear in x amount of time, assume it's a no?"
I'm going to try querying my MG with them also, over the next few months.
Thanks for the info!
I can't stand that approach. How will the writer know wether they've been considered or already rejected if they don't get a response? This makes exclusives and simultananeous subs to other agencies more of a horror than they already are..."We regret that we cannot respond to each and every query, although we do our best. Rest assured that we read each one and we will certainly follow-up when we have interest."

Thanks for telling me your experience. I sent the first 10 pages with my query letter. Just knowing they responded to you, and the time it took, gives me hope I might still hear back from them!I sent them a query letter on Oct. 14. Today (Dec. 4), they replied asking me to resubmit the letter with the opening 10 pages, per Jenny's sub guidelines. That means over 7 weeks for a request to resub in my experiences with them.
It was for edgy YA, but I've found an agent for another project so I won't be resubmitting.
However, to all those who do, make sure to include your first 10 pages, LOL. You'll save yourself some time.
Hi guys,
There's some misinformation here which is really puzzling me. First of all, our policy is to respond to every query, even if we do still have a substantial backlog. So nowhere on my website does it say the following:
"We regret that we cannot respond to each and every query, although we do our best. Rest assured that we read each one and we will certainly follow-up when we have interest."
Perhaps that is text from someone else's website, but again, it is not on mine. You can check out our submission guidelines to confirm:

Oh, shoot. You are SO RIGHT. Serves me right for being so snotty. I'll change it now. And I checked and double-checked before I posted that and I still got it wrong. Ack--I'm very, very sorry.
