I am totally new to this site. This is actually the first site of this kind I've ever tried to become involved with. I am not internet savy at all. When I signed up, in my state of nervous anticipation I did read the birthdate entry line as current date. Now I'm stuck as two days old. Can someone one please tell me how to fix this? (I'm a few decades past thriteen. Which explains why I can't use a computer.)

Welcome.
Go to your User CP (it's on the bar near the top of the page, over to the left). Click User CP and it will take you to another page. Look over to the left, you will see a link to Edit Your Details. Click that and it will take you to the page when you can change any of the details you entered, including your date of birth.
Don't worry about things like this. We knew it's a big forum with lots of options. Just ask and someone will be glad to help you with any problem you have.

Step One: Click on "User CP" in the top menu (the option furthest on the left).
A menu bar will come up on the left-hand side of the page.
Under "Your Profile" click "Edit Your Details".

I tried that. It let me change my b-date, but I keep getting the message at top about being under thirteen and I've sent a message to Admin twice about my error. I still get e-mails saying my child is changing their info. Am I going to have to send in a permission form for myself before this fix takes place? I feel so stupid. I'm copping the ADD defense.

Hold on, SilverMoon. We'll let the forum administrator know you're having a problem. I'm not familiar with the "under thirteen" rules, so I'm not sure what to tell you.

Hi there, and welcome. I was also born in an age when computers didn't yet exist, but you know, it doesn't take long to understand how everything works. (Of course, when I don't know something, I just ask one of my pupils what I do wrong... - I'm a teacher in high school and teach English to 16-18 year olds).
