Hi :) I'm 15 at the moment and somehow managed to get a full request for the YA manuscript I'm querying. It's been about 2 and a half months since I sent it off though and I'm considering sending them a short email about it...just wondering, how long has anyone else had to wait to get back a full request?
Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but oh well.

That's great that you've got interest! I woud say if they didnt give you an estimate on how long before you should hear something, consider how long it took them to get back with you on your query and then double it for the full. If it's been longer than that, than you should be fine to send them a polite nudge.

Congrats! I've always heard that three months is the appropriate time for a nudge if the agent doesn't specify longer. *crosses fingers that you'll hear back soon* I'm waiting on two fulls myself atm. It's completely exasperating.

ah, two fulls? That's awesome! I can understand you're exasperation...
And yeah, they didn't actually give a timescale. They replied to my query in about a week, so I think it would be fine if I just sent them a polite nudge...but I'm too nervous to do so :L God, this whole agent business scares me sometimes XD

Congrats on the fulls! Also, you might want to drop by the Teens Writing For Teens thread, because a lot of us would be really happy to have you around :)

Just make sure you go to Bewares and Background Checks before you reply. It's always nice to find out a little bit more on an agent. Congrats on the full request and welcome to AW!
