My name is Luke Keith, I am very new to the whole "writer" thing... I am not talented or particularly skilled at writing, I often think I would rather have a root canal. However, I have an incredible passion for story telling and movie making.
My co-writer and I have spent the last 4 years writing a story for a live action Ninja Turtles movie. It is not a screenplay. It is a vision in story form with hundreds of pages of character profiles, history, and various other things that complete the overall vision and universe we have created.
We have put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into this project and despite some promising leads in the beginning, were unable to get the studio's attention primarily because we are unsolicited. We are simply trying to find a way to get the right person's attention (I guess that's every writer right?). We have started an online campaign, shot an interview, and gained a lot of attention from the fan community, but so far have made no real headway with the studios... the website is http://www.ninjaturtles-movie.com ....
The only reason I say all that is because we are in foreign territory right now and looking for a sense of direction. If you were in our shoes, what would you do?
Thanks in advance for any advice you have to offer.
