I want to start a new sub-genre in Romance fiction

I know that may sound big-headed of me, but in the 80's Horror fiction developed a new sub-genre called "Splatter-Punk"

I want to do that in Romance Fiction. I haven't thought of anything yet.

Does anyone else feel the same way?
