Question about high school parties

We always played the drinking board game "Pass Out". Damn thing always lived up to it's name.

There was always talk about playing the "$#cking drinking game" which was watching Scarface & taking a drink every time they said "$#ck". At 182 times - it would have been impossible to finish the movie alive

It really depends. I went to plenty of parties in high school without any alcohol (any party where the parents knew it was happening generally didn't have any). But there also were some that had it. Whether or not they play drinking games would be kind of up to you, I guess. If it's a huge party, drinking games seem unlikely (besides maybe beer pong? It would depend where the party was held.) But if it's a smaller gathering, then maybe. We did a lot of card drinking games in college, like kings or asshole, which I know people also played in high school (I didn't drink in high school, so maybe I'm not helpful.)

We always played "have you ever". One person says something,, ie have you ever cheated on a test or something similar and all those who have take a shot... It scopes out your classmates for who have done "cool" things and who haven't

What Kaitlin said. Just about anything could happen. A lot depends on what kind of alcohol was available-- i.e. keg parties were huge and most of the school was there, drinking or not. But if you're looking for drinking games, flip cup and boat races are pretty common.

ETA: Comment below jogged my memory-- the party scenes in "Varsity Blues," quality though it is, were pretty realistic.

Just rent some teen movies. As far as the 80s and 90s ones all pretty much have the same house parties. Boozing out of big red cups, lots of vomiting.

We always played A**hole, beer pong, and Never Have I Ever.

I actually didn't go to many parties with alcohol when I was in high school but that may have just been a factor of my peer group. Mostly we just sat around and talked, listened to music, and if it was a small party we definitely played games like "Have You Ever" and "Truth or Dare". Occasionally we'd play board games or things like Apples to Apples although I seem to remember doing that a lot more in college.

In college, I did play some drinking games. Beer Pong (Beruit) and Kings were definitely the most popular at the colleges I went to.

We listened to music, and basically just hung out. I don't remember drinking games (though I DO remember drinking. A lot of Coors Light and wine coolers - to date myself. )

Most of our "parties" were just the group of us hanging out - my friends were a tight knit bunch who are still friends today, 20+ years later and scattered all over the country. I can only remember a few times things got out of hand - and then there were fights, property damage, and a LOT of barf. Oh, and the police showed up as well...

I wasn't exposed to actual drinking games until college, where folks were crammed into a dorm room or two. For house parties, there was usually generic drinking and pot smoking out back perhaps, movie-watching and always music on. Folks would always go into the bedrooms when that wasn't supposed to be allowed.

There were shots 'games'. Just creative ways to do shots, like sake bombs. Not everyone at the party would do them, just if you happened to be near the person with the supplies and wanted to. The kitchen was usually the spot for that at the majority of random parties I went to.

Don't underestimate all the drama going on all over the place - folks fighting in the garage maybe, someone lying under a bush in the rain. One of the most fun nights I've had I just talked with a couple of folks, but we were in a bathroom for some quiet. A night of great discussion while sitting in a dry bathtub

There were a lot of drugs at the parties I attended when I was high school aged. Not sure if that's the norm or a comment on my particular group of friends, lol.

Generally the source of alcohol would be in the kitchen (if there was any alcohol, I'd say at least half the parties I attended didn't have any). The bong or bowl would be in the living room usually, though if it was a large party the pot smoking might take place in a back bedroom so there would be less people. People generally congregate in the living-dining-kitchen area. The only drinking game I've ever really seen played was beer pong.

LOL, most of the h.s. parties I went to were outside at the rock quarry around a firepit. People just talked and made out and smoked dope.

I didn't get into drinking games until I was in college. Ah, flipcup, how many brain cells did I lose to you and your good friend, Beirut? Those were the days.

People jumping off roofs in pools. Making out. Smoking pot. Lots of beer, some wine, whatever you could get. Obnoxious commentary and yelling! Oh, ya, it was good.

YES!! OMG Pit parties rawked! LOL Wine coolers and tire smoke!

Most of the HS parties I went to were outside too. No drinking games, mostly drinking the hard stuff till you couldn't stand up, hanging out with a group of close friends, flirting with the guys. Smoking a few joints occasionally. And most involved sneaking out the window and not coming home till all hours of the morning. (I got caught only once, when my bf and I's ride left us and we were stuck. I was supposed to be at her house, and she was supposed to be at mine. Ooops! LOL) And I only puked one time in all that partying. After I drank a fifth of Southern Comfort and chased it with a beer. OMG the smell of SC makes me want to hurl to this day.
