How to add Word Count to AW Signature?

I wanted to add my NaNo Word Count meter to AW Signature. I tried copying the thing from my blog, but that just comes as a link, and the progress-bar doesn't show.

Any suggestions?

You need to use the "link tool" to enter the link, rather than just pasting it in.

Indeed, the link has to be defined as an image (using img tags) rather than a URL link in your sigline, e.g.

[img]http://picometer.writertopia.com/words=0&target=50000[/img]
