Lainey & Sandy, thanks so much! I all but missed its contest-week too. If another author on the Desert Breeze loop hadn't told me, I never would've known about it.

If you know your review is coming up on Long and Short Reviews, keep glancing at the site from time to time. That's my recommendation, because they didn't notify me that my review was going up.

For those of you watching for reviews, I've set up Google Alerts for my name and title -- that way, I usually get a head's up when a review is posted.

Do reviews seem slow in coming? I guess the sheer volume of books sent for review has something to do with it.

I felt like I waited forever for my first review! But because I sent it just about everywhere under the sun, when they started coming, they POURED in. I added a lot quotes to my website, but there was no way to add them all. Keep getting your work out there! The reviews will come! Just don't always depend on your publisher to submit. Mine has a short list, but I did a lot of research to find other places that do romance reviews.

Congrats on the great Night Owl review!! They were very good to all my books! I think all five were "Reviewer's Top Picks"! Made me very, very happy!

I have no problem with a thread for good reviews. But links ONLY please. Reviews are copyrighted material just like our books. Let's please respect the reviewer's product.

I don't run around tooting my own horn very often, but I was especially proud of a 5 kisses review I received today from Tina at Two Lips for my book, Turning Thirty-Twelve.

The response to that story has been such a surprise. This was a book I wrote for kicks and giggles and to exorcise some of my forty-year-old angst. I never, never expected the response I've received.

I'm tickled by the two-books-back-to-back contest thing on LASR.

Coffee Time Reviews gave RAY GUN a "best read" but that was a couple of months ago.
