Reproducing Movie Dialogue

I have written a novel, a love story called "Dreams Of A Love Indestructible". In it I have written a scene where one of my central characters is gravely ill and is dying. As he lays in bed he is recalling lines of dialogue from his favorite movie (which happens to be Bladerunner).

I want to follow the right steps in gaining permission to reproduce the lines of dialogue but I am unsure of how to get in touch with the copyright owner of the work and how to frame my request.

Has anyone any thoughts on how I might proceed? I am aware that there may be significant costs involved in doing this and I have planned for the contingency that I may not be able to gain permission. But I would at least like to try.

In my book, a character who is dying recalls two lines of dialogue from that movie and he remembers the movie specifically as he recalls them.

I've had it put to me that so long as I attribute the lines of dialogue to the film and make it clear that they are from that film then I am not in breach of copyright - but I stand to be corrected.

There is fair use in copyright law, but I'm not sure what counts as fair use and what doesn't. You should probably consult a lawyer who specializes in that type of stuff.
