Experience with Amazon as author?

Things have changed so much there in the last few years, I feel as though I'm starting from scratch.

We have two titles coming out in the spring and the books are already up on Amazon (the publisher did this...or maybe the US distributor? not sure).

I went ahead and created an author profile page, which they say can take up to seven days to publish.

What I'm wondering is, with that page will I have access to statistics such as number of views, pre-orders, etc.?

Unfortunately the publisher doesn't have an answer to this question, or I simply asked the wrong person there.

Can I look forward to having access to the books' page statistics at Amazon once this author account is created, based on your experience?

Also, can anyone enlighten me as to how Amazon's list pricing works? The title was listed WAY before publication, is now accepting pre-orders (which surprised me), and the list price has fluctuated for the last 24 hours.

According to the publisher, once it gets listed on Amazon, things are out of their hands.
