Hi, I just email the editor of a magazine that publishes teen writers, and I was wondering how long would it be for them to get back at me.
Thank you.

Yeah. Check to see if they're on duotrope.com. sometimes that gives an indication of how long it could take.

It's a slow process, often.

I went to the magazine's website and clicked on the Sumit Work, but it wants me to sign up. Should I do it?
I have read this magazine before, but when I tried to sign up, it wanted all this personal info. Should I still sign up?

PS
I read that if your work gets published they will send you a copy.

Well, sometimes the online mags I go to want you to sign up and give personal info to streamline submissions, and you can usually check for updates on the process using your account. I don't know about your particular instance, though.

If it's just trying to get you to pay for the magazine, I wouldn't do that if you've read it before and just want to submit.

If you send a correctly formatted submission, you'd be sharing a lot of personal information anyway. I wouldn't worry. Just make sure they're reputable. Again, Duotrope is a great place as are these boards.
