im looking for a mentor. Im writing fantasy ive been told i need to pay a lot of attention to my punctuation.

I was thinking about giving up, but i want to stick it out and improve.

If you're really serious about this writing biz, I suggest investing in:

1) Grammar & Punctuation for Dummies
2) Chicago Manual of Style
3) Gregg's Reference Manual

I'm sure someone else here can recommend classes and workshops you can take as well.

Drew--also, go to the library. Any library. Wander over to the nonfiction section and start reading books about writing. If it's something you really want to do, you'll do it and with work on our part, you can succeed.
