Look at the threads stickied to the top of the Novels forum, especially one called "General Manuscript Formatting".

No problem. FYI, before they created the "Basic Writing Questions" and "Grammar and Syntax" forums, a lot of grammar and formatting questions were asked in the Novels forum, so that's a good place to search for general information. Also be sure to take a look at the stickied threads at the tops of these forums. Some of them have indexes to interesting threads and commonly asked questions.
