Anyone know of good meetings in the midwest?

I am finally getting my feet wet and trying to accomplish getting my finished manuscript published. This is a great resource to meet people and learn how to get it done, but I was wondering if anyone knew of any good conferences in the midwest for YA authors? I want to get to know people face to face also.

Join SCBWI. They have lots of local chapters and many of the local chapters have their own regional conferences.

If you write YA romance, you could always try RWA. Even if you don't write romance, RWA is a helpful organization with tons of groups to join. They even have internet chapters.

Thanks caromora. I'll look into RWA. (I just joined SCBWI a week ago and that's why I got wondering about other conferences)

Midwest Writers is a good conference. I just went in July. It's in Muncie, IN.
