Hello everyone,

I am new to AW, so please bear with me.

I am working on a film script, and want to put in a scene that would show a historical event that took place more than a thousand years ago. Obviously, it cannot properly be classified as a "flashback" since the none of the characters was actually there. In essence, a couple of the characters are describing an event that took place a long time ago, and I want the scene to show that visually. What's the proper way of writing this scene?

Also, I have another scene when one of the characters remembers several events at the same time (several previous scenes in the film itself) and reaches a conclusion in her mind. How can this be properly written into the script?

I would really appreciate suggestions. I'm kind of stuck on these two points and want to make sure the script format is proper. Thanks.

Next time, I recommend you ask script questions in the script, stage and play forum (or whatever it's really called).

Simple, put the location and year in the scene header and use the description at the start of the scene to make it clear this was long ago.

Also, I have another scene when one of the characters remembers several events at the same time (several previous scenes in the film itself) and reaches a conclusion in her mind. How can this be properly written into the script?
If the events they're remembering are from earlier in the script you can cut to a montage of the events in question. The director will most likely use some flash and show the events in question either in black and white or some dreamy subdued color to indicate it's a memory.

Thank you. I'll re-post on the script section as well.

Also, does the montage section have to have a specific heading in the script, or should the scenes be just cut and pasted in their original format and with original headings?

Thanks again.
