Nurse Jackie and Mercy?

The tough Nurse with an attitude and disregard for rules?
The chirpy, naive new nurse?
The sexy female sidekick?
The gay male nurse?
The affair?

Anyway, I've seen the first season of Nurse Jackie and I loved it. I tried Mercy and hated it. It's not just because it's a carbon copy similar show. I think they try too hard and somehow it falls flat.
