Greetings:

I'm interested in adding an element to my nonfiction book, wherein it begins with a short scene that directly relates to that particular chapter. Any ideas of how to structure it/them?

I think you'll be better off in the novel section. This is an area for scripts for movies.

What do you mean by short scene? Are you talking about an event? You structure it like everything else, you just write it. Put it at the beginning of the chapter, and then write your chapter.

Afterall you wouldn't want this in the middle of your book:

FADE IN:

INT. OFFICE - DAY

John sifts through his files.

Mark knocks on the door and leans in with a leering smile.

Mark
Guess who I just saw?

This is what a script looks like.

Do you mean an example of a dialogue containing X problem? What sort of non-fiction book is this?

You know, you're absolutely correct. I did know that this particular forum was for scripts, which is why I posted for advice. I'll keep it moving; thanks again.
