How to format on SYW

To my knowledge, you can't insert tabs - you can: (i) indent whole paragraphs, using the indent pull down below where you can change text color, or (2) manually add spaces with the space bar.

Between paragraphs, it might be easier to manually add blank lines, like by hitting return twice.

suki is right, there are board software quirks that limit how text can be posted. Check out the info announcement visible from any of the Share Your Work forums, especially the "Reformatting text before posting" section.

The best way i've learned is to use the single spacing while working on it in Word, but to then separate each paragraph with an extra line/space.

And then when I cut and paste into AW, viola, everything is more or less good.

As for indenting each new paragraph. I don't bother, the line between paragraphs is good enough.
