"Trunk manuscript" into Published Novel?

Has anyone here been able to turn one of their trunk novels into a published work? (Not self-published.) Just curious.

There are several writers on AW whose first novels did reach publication. I can't recall names just now but there are quite a few.

My book is my first finished novel. I like to say that past drafts of BGDD are my two books stuffed away in a drawer.

Sigh. I guess some of us are just slow learners. But then, I never really started writing fiction to sell it. Just to amuse myself and avoid senility.

Congrats, Katie and anyone else, who were able to sell their first novel with an ending.
