It's time for me to embark on another round of editing. I wrote a huge hunk of new material, made notes on a printed copy, and did some scene shuffling and outlining on my computer. Now, for the first time in months, it's time for me to dig into my already written scenes and make them work. I'm terrified. I feel like the story is inherently bad, in various ways, and I feel like I'm not good enough to do the editing that needs to be done.
But, of course, I will.
So, to make the process easier, share with me your stories about times when you've felt this way (I'm sure most of you have some), and give me some advice about how to conquer this self-doubt.
Thank you.
