I've been working on some nonfiction material for my business clients on how to get their nonfiction books off the ground. Part of the foundation work for getting a book organized and focused before you actually start in on the chapters is to envision the content on the back cover or on the web page (the ad/sales letter for your book). I also remember that we did this somewhere awhile back for fiction--not in the MTS forum specifically, but around here somewhere. In addition to giving the nonfic writer some focus, writing the back cover can make the finished book feel more real--you can feel that published book in your hand, or visualize it on the shelf--which can be helpful when you are in the thick of it...

Last night I had a headsmack moment--this exercise is totally applicable (and can be fun) here!

Has anyone written the back cover? What does it say? Who might you ask to endorse your book and what praise would they lavish upon you? :)
