I've just come across the website Authonomy.com, after reading on a chicklit site that author Miranda Dickinson was snapped up on there.
I had never heard of this site until now, and wondered if anyone else has had experience with it. Apparently it's run by HarperCollins and allows you to upload your work. I'm just about to read through the FAQ in more detail but thought I'd ask if anyone has an opinion on this?
I'm usually quite wary of sites for which you have to upload your work for others to view, eg sites such as YouWriteOn which I decided not to try, despite people raving about how useful it is. The book I'm working on is quite different from most chick-lit - a subgenre itself - and I just don't fancy the idea. Not that anyone would want to swipe my work, it's never THAT good! - but people reading my first drafts might be quite cringe-inducing later on down the line. (I could be wrong and missing out on good feedback here, but that's just me. Miss Paranoia.)
