The first in Melissa Marr's bestselling series is now being adapted into a movie. Based on my understanding, it falls in the same subgenre as Twilight.

It falls in the same category as Twilight only in that it's YA.

WL is far superior, as is Marr's writing talent. So good on her!

I'm just pretty quiet.

Miss Kriss, Caroline is amazing. She's already pinged me for a slew of folklore references; btw that and her lit background & writing choices, I am very positive abt her screenplay.

That's the coolest thing I've heard all day (eleven minutes into today, but I bet it's the coolest thing I hear all day, too). Given the glowing praise it's already getting by way of who is involved.

Actually I was noting Caroline Thompson's previous screenwriting creds include some very visual films--Edward Scissorhands, Secret Garden, etc.
