All day I've had the bad feeling that my piano books are going to be stolen. They're in a building all the way across campus, in a locker that i haven't been able to get a lock for.

I have a really really bad feeling that they won't be there when I go check. I feel really awful because my teacher's piano books are in there as well.

Someone tell me I'm being irrational and that this won't happen. Please?

You are not being irrational, you're being irresponsible! ;) (Just kidding...but why don't you run on over there and get them books anyway.)

If you have a strong feeling that they are going to be stolen, than it might be inclined to happen as the more you think about something or the more it hits you, the more you attract it to happen and make it real. On a more positive note, can't you go over there and check? Or at least attempt to see a lighter side to it..

:Hug2:

Good to see you sharing it though, it really helps to understand these things.

Can I ask one thing - where did this strong feeling originate from? Have the books been on your mind latetly, or within your sight, or has something been aired around them? You can stop it from happening, if you understand it's root.

1) Take deep breath
2) Retrieve books
3) Buy a lock

No...not OCD. Kind of funny though.

In the Castle, of course.
I have learned over the years to listen to my gut. It has saved me few times. Btw, buy a lock. Locks are not that expensive.

Your premonitions are weak sauce. Tell me when everyone dies, or the planet comes to an end.

I have... a premonition... That the store will be out of 2 for 1 ragu....

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Anybody want to buy a whole bunch of used piano books? I can't read all the little squiggly lines.

Seriously, I'm sure they're fine.

That's what scared me. My gut feeling is usually right. 99.9% of the time. I was freaking out about how I could break the news to my piano teacher that his books got stolen because I didn't get a lock.

I'm glad this time it wasn't.

I used to get this sort of thing all the time. The worst was when I was sure that my husband had forgotten to drop off the baby at daycare and left her in the car. I would tell myself over and over that he always puts his bag next to her so he has see her when he gets out of the car but I would end up either thinking up some excuse to call the daycare or call him to ask some thing like did she eat OK or did she cry this morning when you dropped her off?
