A vampire question....

Someone had brought up a important question that not even I had even thought about.

What would you call a living decendent to a vampire elder? I have racked my brain trying to come up with something but i wasn't able to. I even cheated and tried to google it and the off chance there might be something but no. Anyways if anyone comes up with anything interesting please let me now

There's no official terms with vampires--you're the author, you can decide if you want one. It could be "Child of the House of Ancient Vamp's Name," or "his blood-kin" or "childe" or "blood-spawn," or "greater descendant of Ancient Vamp's Name."

Go with what sounds cool and reasonable in your setting.

If this person is descended from someone engendered by the vampire after becoming undead, then this person might be considered a dhampir. If not, then some synonym with "descendant" or "blood kin" will work.

Second cousin once removed? Or, maybe mortal-kin (You said one's alive?) Okay, so I'm guessing the blaze attitude in the latter would come later on too. I kind of like the first, like a just made vamp who still relates in some way to kinship. I can see humor in that, and fear. No clue if this is what you were asking, but it was fun thinking about. Thanks.

Dhamphir only applies if the person is a product of a mortal/vampire relationship (they're born that way). If the person in question is the great-great-great-great grandson, then the vampire would most likely call them Grandson. Bloodchild works, too.

Depending upon the legend, offspring of a dhampir are sometimes also called dhampirs.

That reminds me of "Blade", who wasn't conceived through a vamipre/mortal union but does possess these qualities:
Dhampirs often have powers similar to a vampire, but none of their weaknesses (though the reverse can occur, as well).[1] A dhampir is believed to be unusually adept at killing and detecting vampires.
