I am just about 40-50% finished with my first draft. Well, my very first draft was left unfinished, but now I am on a rewrite of the entire thing. Currently, it's at about 28K and my goal is 60-70K.

I don't mind if it's paragraph by paragraph or general comments because I could use both. I have had issues with characterization consistencies mostly. I think sometimes I have awkward phrasing and could also use some input on how my pacing is. And just to note anything I have problems with. I'd also like to know what I'm doing right, too! It's a good motivation factor for me.

Right now, I have the first four chapters available which is about 7K all together. I will work to finish the next couple of sections as soon as possible too. The next two chapters are almost there. I skip around in it a lot, so I'd prefer to fill in all the holes as I send more stuff to anyone who's interested.

I can offer some general comments myself to anyone who needs it. I can read any sort of YA romance or science fiction/fantasy. (I used to be a YA SFF writer, but romance feels more natural for me).

I am an 18 y.o. college student, and it would be cool to have someone my age to have that sort of perspective. Younger, older, it doesn't matter to me. I want to develop a relationship, so if you have something like AIM to have conversations about our WIPs, then that would be lovely.

Here is the general gist of my WIP, The Love Square.

Kyle Brewer is afraid of love
Rosabelle Monroe likes Kyle but she has a boyfrend, Chase Santiago.
Chase is madly in love with Rose
Jeannette is Rosabelle's best friend, but she likes Chase a lot

It's a multiple perspective novel that follows the above sequence.

If anyone is interested, drop a reply or PM me!

Thanks!

OK! I've got enough betas on the bandwagon (and enough to read as well) so this thread is now closed.

Thanks to all that replied!
