Is anyone out there intrested in helping me with my query letter? I have two completed fiction novels and before I submit to an agent I am hoping for opinions on my query. Thanks!!!

Hi Dee, Welcome to AW.

Visit the Share Your Work section (password is vista)--there's a specific forum there just for query letters. Be warned, though, it's a heck of a lot more than just proofreading--read a couple other critiques of query letters and the stickies at the top of the forum before you post so you know what you're getting into. It's called Query Letter Hell for a reason. :)

Yep. Go to QLH. Don't be fooled by all the sharp teeth and red ink; those people will save your life.

First lesson: don't call your book a fiction novel. Novels are fiction by definition and using the phrase "fiction novel" is one of the easiest way to piss off a lot of AWers; agents probably won't like it either.

I woudl add that if you are only interested in having people proofread without helping you with the content, make that very clear if you choose to post in QLH. Otherwise, the assumption will be that you need help with the content.

Seriously! They helped me whip my query into shape and the version I came up with thanks to their assistance got me a partial request on my second day of querying. Yay!
