I've had about three or four hours' sleep and done no writing all day. I can't go to bed without producing a bare minimum...a thousand? Two at a push? I'll feel guilty otherwise. Can't let the momentum go.

So go on. Do something to keep me awake for a couple more hours. Say boo, poke me with sticks. Heck, bring out the baboons if you have to.

Uh, perhaps if you were writing rather than posting . . .

In the Castle, of course.
Just go to bed, SP. No good is going to come of writing when you are this exhausted. Make up the difference in the morning.

Or... pull out a bottle of your favorite, take a drink, and start writing. Then you won't care how tired you are and the alcohol will help you sleep. You may wake up with a keyboard imprinted on your face, but then folks will know your dedicated. ;)

You're probably right, Ambrosia. I can write surprisingly well if I hit my second wind, but this isn't one of those nights. This is "So...very...tired..."

And good god, quickWit. You'll give me nightmares!

Hot drink first, so I'll be 'green' for another ten minutes or so. Then I'm up the wooden hill to Bedfordshire!

SP, we're once again on the same sleep deprivity schedule, so I say we get slammered and see how many people we can get to unfriend us as we become increasingly drunk and aggressive. Sound good? Anyone else want in on the action?
