hey wondering if anyone might be able to help... when i login to here i can check the box to remember who i am and it does. i can close the browser come back and i am logged in still so this makes me think that cookies are enabled and working - i checked in the browser settings and they are yet when i now go to the poetry critique board it won't let me know key in the password and get in there.

i can at home (i am at work now..shhhh dont tell anyone) but here it just wont let me login anymore... any suggestions? i would have thought if it was a cookie issue i would not be able to set the one in login. i'll miss my poetry crit board!

All I can tell you is that some sites say to hit F8 to allow cookies. I don't know if it would work where you want it, though.

Good luck!

I had that problem, too. Deleting the cookies and shutting down the browser worked fine.

Give a yell if you need help deleting cookies.

Do you use a Options, Delete before you close your browser?

Do you use a cleaner such as CrapCleaner after you've signed out of your browser? I'm amazed at how much is still left on my computer after I've used Options, Delete. CrapCleaner gets rid of them.

I'm glad you got in :)

It has to do with the upgrade, I believe. Lots of folks will have corrupted cookies. There was a long thread on the upgrade somewhere that mentions it. But that's all there is to it, so I didn't search out the thread :)

This is my work computer so all of that stuff is set by the network people - they control the settings. I just use it :)

I was able to login on thursday and then today when i got back from my long weekend i couldn't - must of been the upgrade did something over the weekend but i dunno. just happy to be able to get in now !

People with very old cookies (yes, they get stale, and even expire) will have problems with staying logged in or getting into the password protected forums.

Making sure you know your AW password and ID first,
Log off
Delete your AW cookies
Quit your browser
Log back in

I'm having a problem getting into password forums.

All browsers let you delete cookies. They all do it a little differently, just, you know, to make our lives interesting [cough].

Before you do ANYTHING make sure you know your login information.

And look here for various browsers and where you manage cookies.
