Not sure where else to put this...

Since Rosh Hashanah is coming up, I thought I would use this opportunity to beg for forgiveness from anyone I may have wronged or mildly annoyed (probably just about everyone on this forum at some point).

So specifically to Cass for the other day, CG for the argument on the religious forum, Ruv for giving you the impression that I was angry, the Silver fish for our back and forth a little while ago, and to SP for annoying the crap out of her so much, I aplogise and ask for forgiveness.

Also, I'm sure I have inadvertantly pissed off other people, so I just want to say sorry for that if I did.

Also, Kelly, if you took my "really" comment seriously, I'm sorry about that. It was just a joke.

L'shanah tova tikatev v'taihatem!

But I am good at annoying people.Particularly when I'm on tablets. ( thankfully I'm not at present, but I did a good job of annoying one or two people when I was. It was kinda like roid rage or something. ) Especially when I have a brain fog and while things in my head make sense ( they do, honestly!), they come out garbled and I can't say what I mean. Then the fog drifts between me and reality and...yeah. Then things get really weird in my head.

So, if I've pissed you off, sorry. Truly. I didn't do it intentionally.

Except for maybe Scarlet. I live for the day I can make her good and offended. :D But I can't quite seem to manage it ( or I don't think I have...) Colin Farrell is a minger! That should do it.

Guys--for semilargeintestine this is not a funny thing, at all. He's absolutely serious. Please be a little respectful.

Thanks--

Semi, I'll just go ahead and get preemptively angry with you for something so that I can accept this timely apology. There. Done.

Hope your observance is satisfying and that the season brings you the peace its intended to.

Though you've not specifically wronged me, I've been occasionally annoyed by the tone of your posts. Apology accepted. And I hope the holiday treats you well.

Wow. What a...I can't think of the word. I'm not sure I'd be big enough to do this publicly.

So what else can I do but forgive you for something so minor? :D

(The fact you are Australian helps, not to make light of this but there you go. Apology accepted and we're cool now). :D

I think we ought to take this outside.

After all, it would seriously derail semilargeone's thread and this is not the place.

*sends abusive PM to Julia*

Back on topic people!

(Yes, I derail a lot but I feel oogy about doing such to a religious-themed thread. I was raised a Catholic and harbour all sorts of churchy-based guilt feelings).

Carry on!

Sure, everyone should make teshuvah! I suffer the same problem.

I don't think you have ever wronged or annoyed me, but if you have, you are forgiven. :)

Just in case, thanks. :)

Thanks Medi. This is totally serious.

Semi - I accept your apology. Though you haven't offended me yet.

and happy Rosh Hashanah... if that is an appropriate thing to wish...

:)

It's certainly a day of judgment, but there are always happy tones. :)

Sorry for the occasional annoyance. Hopefully I can remedy that in 5770. Thank you for your forgiveness.

Wow. What a...I can't think of the word. I'm not sure I'd be big enough to do this publicly.

I thought of just PMing some people, but I know I've been crass at times and probably annoyed some people inadvertently. By virtue of the fact that I am openly a Jew on this forum, I felt the need to remedy that in some small way and hope for forgiveness.

So what else can I do but forgive you for something so minor? :D

:)

Fine! *fires back PM*

I actually did mean the main body of the post. I have almost certainly pissed off a couple of people here in my latest weirdo phase. And I am truly sorry for it. I try and stay sane and, understandable you know, it just doesn't always work so well...But, heck, I can't stay serious for long enough to finish it serious too.

Sorry. I shall try and contain myself in future.

Forgiveness all round?

semilargeintestine, you've never upset me, to be honest, I don't think we've ever spoken. But if we do ever cross words, that's life, I don't hold grudges, so if we ever fall out, then it's forgotten the next time we cross paths, okay. :)

Semi, you have never to my knowledge harmed me or wished me harm. As for any annoyance or inconvenience arising from misunderstandings and differing views, I see those as a gift and I thank you for them. :)

To the extent that my goodwill and best wishes help you, you have all of them, unreservedly. Please accept too my good wishes for your family and your shul.

Star to the right and straight on till morning.
semi,

One of the things I abhor about chat though I love it, is how easy it is to misunderstand each other. We can't see each others faces or hear intonation that are so crucial to communications.

I was in no way offended. I was sorry you felt you had to leave. :Hug2: And if I caused you to be offended I hope in kind you will forgive me.

May you find peace in your endeavor.

Semi -- in my own religious tradition we regard everyone as fundamentally and essentially good. Thank you for what you bring to our discussions, which is that you speak your mind and your heart truthfully. I hope this helps you have a meaningful Rosh Hashanah.

As a not-so-religious person that is married to a Jewish person, I will tell you exactly what I told the hubby. "Fine, fine, whatever. Get out the guilt. You're forgiven for everything but if you try to reorganize my sock drawer one more time I'm going to pour gasoline on you and set you on fire."

This seems to appease him, because he gets to retain a functional level of impending doom while still getting the forgiveness he's seeking. Okay by you?

AW. A very nice place!
... happy Rosh Hashanah!
I, too, have the misfortune of being Jewish: despised by most; tolerated by few ;-)
Wouldn't have it any other way, though, especially with the tasty grub that's served at holidays :p

I forgive you for not mentioning you were coming to Phoenix until after you had been and gone. We didn't get to share a pint.

What the heck? You mean I'm supposed to get tasty grub for all of these holidays? I'm so getting screwed! All I've gotten is an occasional bowl of soup and some potato pancakes. I'm filing a grievance with my mother-in-law. I demand the tasty Jewish grub and if I don't get it I'm going to serve ham for Thanksgiving.

I got matzo ball soup and latkas (no tasty toppings...just plain ol' latkas). So.......not.......cool.

... not sure if it's part of tradition, but sliced turkey with gravy has also made it onto our platters at my Uncle's come holiday time. Never fail to heap my plate with some.
