Random cool link: the breakdown of nicknames for sugary carbonated beverages in the US, by region: http://popvssoda.com:2998/countystats/total-county.html

Although I am disappointed that there is no 'soda pop.'

And KP -- cool, I'll have to take a look later.

Heh, Alaska doesn't seem to know what it's saying! And what's with the random pocket of Soda people centered around St. Louis, Missouri?

I grew up in Albany, NY (Soda Territory) then moved to western PA, right on the 'Pop' side of the Pop/Soda border. It was a running debate in college, where we had people from both sides of the border.

Aaaaand good morning, fellow Coffee Times Seekers.

I am not a coffee drinker, but I've been drinking a lot of tea at my new job. Not because I need the caffeine, but because it's so cold at my desk area that I need something to warm up them bones :(

Tea is also goodness. I'm using Coffee Times in a more generalized, hot beverage celebratory fashion.

Off to go do that.

Sounds good to me! Once I get around to remembering, I will start bringing hot chocolate to work, and then I will get a hot beverage AND chocolate! :D

oooo! Hot chocolate!!

I now have Coffee Times with a large white mocha. Yumm!

I had tea...it was good, but I took too long to drink it, and the remainder is now cold :( And I have a sudden urge for soup for lunch. I suppose I could try the cafeteria's wedding soup...

The quest for hot liquids continues! *cue Indiana Jones/AceTachyon theme music*

Hallo Baha!!!!

:D

Well, someone's happy!

Hello, Baha/Fenika :)

Oh, and my quest for Wedding Soup failed. The cafeteria opened at 11:30, and by 12:30 the soup was gone. Apparently it was quite popular...

Strangely enough, I think of the Indy Theme as my own theme song.

And I have the gear.

Want to see?

And that's why I lumped them together :)

Ooh, you have pics? :D
Do share!

The Indiana Jones soundtrack is great music. I picked the "Basket Game" song as the theme song for my second NaNo novel.

I seem to have missed something. What's Coffee Times?

There was some talk of caffeine and addictions so now everyone is emphasizing their happy coffee times :)

Ah. Right now I'm enjoying "tea, Earl Grey, hot" Times. My cabinet at work is filled with a couple of dozen different types of teas. I start out with black tea in the morning, switch to green in afternoon, then herbal later otherwise the caffeine won't let me sleep.

So I'm working on my WIP, and I wonder if this has happened to anyone else. Have you ever written a villain whose ideals are, in your own mind, horribly twisted and wrong, but you can imagine that somewhere out there will be someone who reads your book and thinks that the villain has the right idea? Not so much a Draco in Leather Pants, but actually agreeing with his philosophy?

Oh, tea times are good. I'm stuck at school, boo.

*hands Etola a twisted villian award* The closest I've come is a decent antihero

*looks at the trophy, which has a twisted, empty black heart on top. Hefts it.*

Wow! I didn't think they gave out trophies for this! I'd like to thank the members of the Cantina Academy, my beta readers and my husband.

*Then hands it to her villain, who is, as usual, impeccably dressed.*

Here, you get this for being such a sick bastard.

Afternoon, folks.

And yes, the UF song's already been shared. I still have to listen to it, but my laptop's sound has gone...flaky.

*debates taking a hammer to the volume control, because at this point the problem can't get much worse*

I need some coffee times...but that would require leaving the house. Hrmmm

*sigh* Oh the mockery. See what you did, Ace?

I am not some stupid island! Respect my new alias!

Also, I has the computer back, yay. Ofc, I found this out soon after printing two chapters and JUST after bitching about not having it. Murphy's law, eh?

Oh well, I can use the paper copy while the old data transfers over.

Heh. To be fair to Ace, I wouldn't have done that if you hadn't made a thing about it, Baha. ;)
