I wants a book burning in my brain.

Last night, thanks to KP and my little cousin's stash of a paper roll, I mapped out my next wip. There are lots of blanks and dangling chads. But I was aware of most.

Hey, if a book is best described as "science fantasy" should it go in the science fiction or fantasy book poll?

Asking because if the December idea is still on, it might fit (or might not).

I must be insane -- I signed up for NaNo again, even though I'm working full time and have a newborn. Must be the sleep-deprivation...

Anyone else doing NaNo?

The peanut is sleeping at the moment (thankfully).

And I have a detailed outline ready for my NaNo, so hopefully, it will be all fill in the blanks. It's a sequel to A Soul for Trouble. I figure, since the first book is winning contests and getting requests for fulls, I might as well have the second book in progress in case the series gets picked up.

What are you writing for NaNo, Baha? (sorry -- I'm not ready to call you by the new name yet)

You can do it, Max!!

And good luck, Bettie! I had a blast last year doing NaNo because I was spending all my leave and living in the middle of nowhere. The result? A 90K novel :)

Aww, what a cute little peanut :)

And you can still call me Baha. I was just sick of being a <MaleName>Child.

Nano- I'm still fermenting my other Big Novel ideas so I'm going for the sequel to my main WIP for better or worse. I hope my previous novel will carry me though, cuz I'm not a very prolific novelist. And from there I can do something totally different. Next year :)

I can't, Doc. I was on holidays for about 3 months and in those three months, the sum of what I wrote barely reaches 20 pages. Now I start a new semester tomorrow and need to do the paperwork to join to my old group, I know I can't, Doc.

I'm on maternity leave and I've only written 10 pages in the last 4 weeks, Max. But school comes first -- I totally understand that

NaNo is really about fun in the end. If you're not going to have fun, that's a good reason not to do it. Don't rule it out just because of wordcount worries, though.

Non-English fantasy authors (with work available in English, since that'd be very problematic otherwise). I have a few authors in mind, though I'll probably only suggest a couple.

Ah, yes, awesome. Though we may have to include another theme or random suggestions since we got Sapkowski :D I still need to comment more in that thread...

Non-English fantasy or sci-fi authors? What about Borges' Ficciones? It's short, made of a couple of fantastic stories and (I think) easy to find (or at least available, I think)
