Yeah, I had a virus issue a couple months back. At least i could boot, though. I just couldn't get online for the most part. Every site I typed in got redirected to scam sites. I fucking hate viruses! :rant:

Wooh - 12 268 words on the new novel. I am so chuffed with myself. If I can keep this up I'll have the first draft down by the end of November.

I wish I could kick those people in the stones.

I worked on it until 1:30 last night. Got into safe mode, ran spybot and AV. A few tracking cookies and some minor spyware. Killed. Tried to do revert to a system restore point but it wasn't an option in save mode. Back to messing around in the bios. Check the start up drives and a removable USB had been set to primary. Switched it back to the hard drive.

Reboot the PC. After 20 minutes windows vista loads! Restore option is available, but there are no saved system restore points... doh!

So it's working but rather slow for a quad-core.

Thank god I backed up my book...

I also have aquired my coffee. I failed last night. I've just been killing myself for the last week, (esp with no sleep) and I gave up after doing about 20 pages of edits. Oh well. Nose back to the grindstone tonight.

Now that I've had my epiphany about killing my darlings, I almost wanna start over...

New goal on my rewrite is to hit THE END by my next writing group meeting: October 13. Seems appropriate.

I've only got about 40 pages of the original draft to plow through (out of 277). Getting there.

That's all right, KW, the challenge idea I was percolating hasn't percolated yet, either. Might play with it more later once I get the draft done.

Just keep writing, just keep writing...
