I am not sure if it is appropriate or, if it is, what thread to put this in. At my website, we are featuring a seven-part series by YA writer, Lauren Baratz-Logsted. Each piece runs for two weeks. Right now, we just posted the fourth part. Each time a new piece goes up, we have a contest in which we give away a free copy of her new book. All people have to do is submit their names via the linked form. Five days later, we announce the winner. There is no obligation nor is anyone's contact info shared or used for any other purpose.

Okay, I guess I asked the question here. But where would be good to post this? In the YA forum? (I couldn't find a mod for that one.) Somewhere else? Or is it not appropriate? Thanks for any help you can provide.

IMO, this is a job for the Announcements, Events, and Self-Promotion sub-forum, but one of the more *ahem* prosaic mods may correct me on that point.

Good question, and good luck both to you and your contestants!

Also, I think (unless a Mod says otherwise!) it would be appropriate to mention it with a short sentence and link in your sig, kinda like poetinahat's link to Authorscoop. You know how to set up a sig? It's simple, go to "User CP" and look through ALL the options...;)

Sounds good. Do it. :) We rarely object to ads that are writing-related or may be of interest to members.
