Is "Novel & Short Story Writer's Market" the definite guide for agent and publisher listings? Also, what other good guides are there?..

For agents, I prefer Agent Query, an online database. A book like that is static information while the information can change rapidly, including email and snail mail addresses, even interested genres/ types of stories.
I'm still only querying agents, so I don't have much feedback on the publisher listing-- at least not for books. I use Duotrope.com for short story markets.
Online, things are easier to update regularly... and they're free.

I use all of the on-line sources too. I found that each of these sources have their limitations. The 2009 guide to Literary Agents listed at least 50% more agents for my genre (Myster/Crime/Suspense) than I found in any of the other on-line sources. The 2009 Writer's Market Lists even more sources, if you want to look at publishers who will accept unsolicited manuscripts.
