Is anyone familiar with the Alphasmart 3000? I'm considering buying one so I don't need to take my laptop with me everywhere I go. If you have one or have had experience with one, please respond to let me know your opinions of this item.

I have an Alphasmart Neo and all I can say is definitely go for it. Alphasmarts are a godsend to writers. I can give you more information if you'd like.
I also have an Alphasmart Neo and love it so much I want to marry it. I wrote more in 2009 than in 2001-2008 put together because of my Neo. It's a wonderful little tool.
