Is anyone familiar with the Alphasmart 3000? I'm considering buying one so I won't need to take my laptop with me everywhere I go. If you have one or have had experience with one, please respond to let me know your opinions of this item.

I have an AlphaSmart Neo and would have said they're the shizzle, but...now I have a netbook, and they PWN the phat one.

I would recommend you look at the Neo or Neo 2. They're the next one up from the 3000, which has limited support available. If you really want all the bells and whistles, there's also the Dana. I have a Neo and for limiting distractions while writing, it's great.
