What are some of your biggest regrets, either professional or personal (although, I don't really care about all the sordid romantic details).

My own - Two years ago, I was offered a job at the ESRB, as a video game reviewer. I turned it down, because I was finishing up my Masters and starting on my PhD, and I needed the funding and convenience that my on-campus job offered. I think getting paid to play video games would've been super swell, but alas, that ship has sailed. Sigh.

I worked in telecom in the mid 90's. I had stock options.....lots and lots of stock options. I held on to them...too long. If I would have cashed out when the market was soaring I could of paid off my house and then some. Instead, I ended up with just enough to super-size my fries.

Yea. My lack of financial acumen is a constant disappointment to me. If, instead of buying my first iPod, I had instead bought $300 of Apple stock, I probably would've been able to pay off a lot of my student loans.

I had something for this...
Had I gone to college, I might have said that.

There. There's another. Not going to college.

Geez, this thread is bumming me out.

:D

Gosh. Well not to sound like a jerk, or a show off, but I don't really have any.

I have things I wish I hadn't done, and things I wish I hadn't said.

But every single piece of minutae in my life has led up to where I am and who I am and who I am with.

So I wouldn't change anything at all.

Yes, 6 years of hell with devil woman, even you are a part of this facade of mine.

This is a very good point. I retract my previous comment. :D

Clearly this thread isn't for you now, is it? Now head on back to the Insomniacs thread and gloat a bit more about your ideal sleeping habits. :)

I don't think regretting passing on some opportunity in the past is mutually exclusive with feeling happy about your present.

Hehe...

I like my life as it is...but I still wish I was rich. Then I could work because I wanted to and not because I have to.

Well shit, I could say, I regret not leaving that harpy ex of mine after 6 months with her.

I could say I wish I'd never left tennessee.

I could say I wish I'd never left college (where I was pre-med) to do what I'm doing now. (13 years into my career, so its panned out pretty good)

I have no idea where I'd be if I was a doctor living in the mountains of Tennessee.

But I am happy where I'm at. And thats what's important.

/tries not to gloat :)

Leaving university.

But then, I was 17. Now I'm 33. Of course I'm gonna look at things differently.

I had something for this...
You can't hum My Way, sheep. You've got to belt it out to the back row or do nothing at all.

Go ahead. I dare ya. I triple-dog dare ya.

I would, really and truly, but they have a policy against such things here. City government frowns upon song, wine, and women, and what you are proposing would need to be a combination of the three.

By the kettle. Anyone for tea? :)
And now, the end is near;
And so I face the final curtain.
My friend, Ill say it clear,
Ill state my case, of which Im certain.

Ive lived a life thats full.
Ive traveled each and evry highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

I regret that the bunneh seems to be controlling me...

I regret not having a much better education than I did. Other than that, I don't regret anything, not even the bad things and all the mistakes I've made, as they've made me the person that I am now, and I actually like me.
