Word count

I’ve been writing in Microsoft Word, Times New Roman in a 12 font. According to Word my page count is 88,000 words total.

Is this correct? What is the formula for a proper word count? I read somewhere that it’s about 10 words per line and 30 lines per page.

Eh… I have no idea.

MS Word gives you the absolute count of the number of words. The link shows you how to calculate word count using the whitespace method.
