I know that Blake addressed a group at the Romance Writers of America conference several months ago in San Francisco, and it is with deep sorrow that I inform you of his death this afternoon. For further information, check his FaceBook page, and the link below to his website.

Blake was one of the most talented, generous, gracious, and loving persons I've ever met, and he will live on in the hearts of every writer fortunate enough to have studied under him and/or read his books.

It will be a shock to the on-line group 'save the cat'. A big loss.

No, Brainstorm, Blake did not write romance, but his "Save The Cat" process applies to all genres of screen and prose writing.

Check out his book on amazon.com

His resume. :D Well, I have the Save The Cat book too and was surprised to hear he spoke at the Romance Writers' Convention - wouldn't have been my choice but that was him, constantly reaching out and teaching, and unafraid of any challenge.
