SF is up, let's hear 'em!

And please please provide links to amazon or similar when suggesting a popular, modern book to study.

If anyone has a theme idea, shout it out.

So SF is dead? Foundation got 15 replies!

It may be August but we still have to read, right? :)

I might have to sell the book study on ebay...

Mmmm What about making a month about quirky little towns? You know, Arkham, Macondo, Salem's Lot, Eureka, etc.

Look, I'm going to say The Child Thief.

But I'm going to be alone on that. And anyway it's Fantasy, so maybe it's for October?

ETA: in the spirit of having discussed cyberpunk recently... Snow Crash? Neuromancer? I've also been needing a reason to get off my ass and read Altered Carbon, which I've been told is cyberpunky.

Solaris by Stanislaw Lem

Lots of people have seen the films, not so many have read the book. I think the book is better than the films made by Tarkovsky or Soderbergh, but I might be alone on this one?
