Nervous. I've only shared the whole book on a members-only space before.
Okay...I have some limbo time until August, waiting for others to get back to me on the book, so while I wait, I figured I'd get an unbiased opinion (as in, you don't know me first).
Wanted
Someone to read the whole story who likes romance.
Not Needed
Edits or line edits. The story has been proofed and revised, etc.
Looking for
An overall opinion on the story. Just read it and give your impression.
Trust Me, Love Me, Let Me is a 73,000 word, 20 chapter contemporary romance.
Summary:
Jacob Lindsey is this year’s big thing in music. As his personal assistant, Beth Lawson sees sides of him the public never gets to witness. Lately, that means covering for his excessive partying as he rides the smashing success of his first album. She’s been his friend since she was fourteen, but loyalty only buys so much patience, and she’s sick of being taken for granted.
After a car accident sets Beth up for months of recovery, she quits her job, reconnects with her estranged father, and starts over. When Jacob orchestrates a reunion months later, she thinks he’s going to beg her to come back to work. Instead, she discovers he’s determined to prove he can’t stop thinking about her. She’s loved him since she was in a training bra and can’t turn him down. Her initial doubts stem from the paparazzi attention and his reputation, but deeper insecurities bubble under the surface.
Just when the couple is feeling the closest they’ve gotten so far, Jacob has to leave on a two month tour. The welcome home isn’t what he hoped for, as Beth doesn’t quite know how to fit him into her daily life again. She soon realizes that the greatest obstacle to happiness is herself.
Either respond here or by PM. The book has a bit of a twist to it, and isn't planned for any specific book line at this time. Oh, it has a couple sex scenes, but not with graphic words.
